    AAMS Students Place 8th in Alabama on the Alabama Science Assessment!!

           This year's 8th graders came in 8th in the state in the Alabama Science Assessment they took last spring as 7th graders.  We are very proud of our students and our 7th grade science teachers!!

    You have immediate access at school, but at home you must have an AVL card with a password to use the Virtual Library.  See Mrs. Culbert in the library about getting an AVL card starting in October.

    ROBOTICS COMPETITION

    The Robotic team participated in a competition in Decatur on November 1.  They received Eight Awards!!! To see all the awards they won, check out their web page on the AAMS website.  Congratulations Robotic Team!!!!

    2008-2009 AAMS YEARBOOKS

     

    The 2008-09 yearbooks are on sale now through December 5th.  They are $30 or $35 if you want your name engraved on the cover.  Yearbooks may be purchased in the main office.  Checks should be made to Alabama Avenue Middle School.  NO LATE ORDERS will be accepted, and NO EXTRA BOOKS WILL BE ORDERED.  Your child should have brought home a letter and order form with the above information.
