    *We serve a diverse student population of approximately 1736 students in grades 9-12.


    *AHS has approximately 17 students for every full-time equivalent teacher.


    *We offer our students state of the art facilities.


    *Our facility offers us a wide-range of resources, including new and innovative technology in every classroom.


    *We pride ourselves on offering students multiple opportunities inside and outside the classroom.

     

    *During the 2020-21 year, our Average Daily Attendance (ADA) was 95.99%.


    *We offer an 8-period day, allowing students to take both core and elective courses that make them more college and career ready.


    *AHS currently offers a variety of Advanced and AP courses.  These include: Advanced English 9; Advanced English 10; AP Language & Composition; AP Literature & Composition; Advanced World History; Advanced US History 1; AP US History; AP Government & Politics; Advanced Geometry; Advanced Pre-Calculus; AP Calculus AB; AP Calculus BC; AP Statistics; AP Computer Science Principles; Advanced Biology; Advanced Chemistry; AP Biology; AP Chemistry; and AP Physics 


    *We offer 4 CTE pathways including:  Agriscience; Culinary Arts; Health Science; Business & Technology; Advanced Manufacturing; Welding and Computer Science.


    *Our Math & Science Department teachers have been trained through the National Math and Science Initiative.  


    *AHS is an AMSTI (Alabama Math, Science, and Technology Initiative) school.


    *Most teachers in core subjects have been trained to use A+ College Ready and CollegeBoard curriculum and strategies.  

     

    *Approximately 75% of our students are involved in a significant activity outside the classroom (i.e. athletics, fine arts program, clubs/organizations).

     

    *AHS offers four different choral ensembles, CenterStage! (mixed show choir), CenSations! (treble voice show choir), VocalEase (a cappella pop), Cerendipity (treble voice concert choir), as well as Stage Crew. These ensembles have received superior ratings in both concert choir and show choir competitions. We currently have 190 students that participate in choir throughout the day!

     

    *The Albertville High School Aggie Band has been considered one of the top bands in the southeast over the past forty years. The Albertville Band has traveled extensively and is recognized nationally for its excellence. The program has an average of 600 students grades 7-12.

     

    *We offer the following athletic opportunities: cheerleading, volleyball, football, cross country, swimming, basketball, tennis, track & field, golf, soccer, baseball, softball, wrestling and flag football.


    *Our primary goal is to prepare students to be successful and productive citizens, and we believe we exceed this expectation at AHS!
