Library
Welcome to the AHS Library!
Our high school library is a dynamic hub where ninth through twelfth grade students can explore a wide range of reading materials, strengthen research and digital literacy skills and prepare for college and career success. Under the guidance of Librarian Kassie Gielle, students learn to navigate both print and online resources, conduct in-depth research projects and select books that match their personal and academic interests. The library is open daily from 7 a.m. - 3 p.m. The library is closed for lunch on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays from 11:25-11:47 a.m. and on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 11:50 a.m. - 12:12 p.m.
The AHS Library operates on an open access basis each day of the week. Students are allowed to visit the library at their convenience and with the permission of their teacher. Students may check out books, study, get technical assistance, meet in small groups, take part in makerspaces and more. Please click here to view the AHS Library Schedule.
The library is located at 402 East McCord Avenue, Albertville, Alabama 35950. To contact the library, please email Ms. Gielle at kgielle@albertk12.org or call (256) 894-5000.
The mission of the Albertville City Schools Media and Library Services Program is to enable all patrons to become productive 21st century citizens through information literacy and to encourage a positive attitude towards reading. The program will facilitate the effective access, analysis, assimilation and use of information.
