Returning Student Registration
As a reminder, all returning students must complete registration before they can pick up a schedule at their school. If you need assistance with new student or returning student registration, please stop by the enrollment office located at 1100 Horton road for assistance. Enrollment information can also be found on our website.
Breakfast and Lunch
Great news for Albertville families! Breakfast and lunch will be free for all Albertville City Schools students again this year! Thanks to the Community Eligibility Program (CEP), there is no paperwork to complete and no income requirements. Every student, every day, will have access to nutritious meals at no cost.
New Communication Platform
New this school year, Albertville City Schools is launching ParentSquare as our official districtwide communication platform. ParentSquare is your one-stop place to receive updates from your child’s teachers, coaches, school, and the district—all in one convenient location.
Families will receive messages through text, email, phone, or the app, with options for two-way communication and automatic translation.
To get started, parents should download the ParentSquare app and be on the lookout for instructions to activate their account. Students in grades 7–12 will use StudentSquare, the student version of the platform, and should also download the app to get set up.

New Start and End Times
To improve transportation efficiency and better support coverage when drivers are absent, we will pilot an adjusted school schedule for the 2026–2027 school year. This structure allows for greater flexibility when 3–5 drivers are out and helps ensure consistent service for our students.
Start and End Times:
- AKPK: 7:30 a.m. – 2:20 p.m.
- APS / AES: 7:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
- AIS: 8:05 a.m. – 3:05 p.m.
- AMS / AIA / AHS: 8:10 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
In addition to the adjusted schedule, a few operational details are important for staff to be aware of:
All school buildings will open 30 minutes prior to the start of the school day. AIS will open earlier, at 7:20 a.m., to accommodate additional needs.
Transportation
Will your student ride a bus this year?
Transportation will only be to and from the student’s home address this year.
