    August 14 Update

    The Albertville City Schools Board of Education will hold a special called board meeting Tuesday morning, August 15, at 7:15 a.m. to name our next superintendent.

    July 24 Update

    The Board of Education will hold five special-called meetings to interview the finalists for superintendent. Prior to each interview, there will be a meet and greet from 5:30-6 p.m. The meet and greet and the interview will take place in the Fine Arts Center. Both are open to the community, and the interview times are below. Biographical information can be found here. 

    From Monday, July 24, through noon on Wednesday, July 26, potential interview questions for superintendent candidates can be sent to supersearch@albertk12.org. The board will look at the questions submitted and use them for guidance. 

    July 19 Update

    The application window to apply as superintendent of Albertville City Schools is now closed. During a meeting on July 18, the board announced the five finalists for the job. You can read about it in our newsroom at albertk12.org/news. Finalists include:

    June 1 Update

    During a special called board meeting on Thursday, June 1, board members approved the specifics of the job posting and timeline. These elements included the job description and title, qualifications, information on where to submit an application, information on deadlines for applying, and other relevant information. 

    Qualifications

    • General fitness and character appropriate to the position;
    • Degree from a recognized four-year college or university; 
    • Certification of eligibility for certification in administration and recognized ability as a school administrator; 
    • A minimum of three years of successful experience in and general knowledge of public school administration;
    • Such other minimum qualifications may be established by statute or the State Board of Education.

    Salary Range

    The salary range for the superintendent will be $140,000 to $170,000, but the Board may pay a higher amount depending upon education, experience and demonstrated success.
