The Albertville City School Board held a special called board meeting on Thursday evening to announce multiple new hires. Among the new hires were two familiar names in Marshall County, as Paul Woodruff will return as the new head softball coach for the Lady Aggies, and Kenny Chaffin will join Albertville as an assistant athletic director and head coach of the Albertville Middle School football team.
The Albertville High School Fine Arts Center hosted the ‘Meet the Coach’ event on Monday evening. The event allowed the Albertville community to get to meet and chat with new Aggie head football coach Adam Winegarden. During the event, Winegarden spoke on numerous topics that included his mission and vision for the program, his expectations and the standards that he expects student athletes to uphold.
Albertville Innovation Academy (AIA) opened its doors in August 2024 with a bold mission to transform the way high school students prepare for their future careers. One year later, that mission is already taking root, with students gaining real-world experience, community leaders embracing its vision and industry partners investing in what many see as the future of education in Alabama.
Adam Winegarden has been named the new head coach of the Albertville Aggies football program. Coach Winegarden brings with him a wealth of experience and a proven track record of success. Most recently, he served as director of leadership and high school relations for Troy University’s football program. His overall high school coaching record stands at 131-55 (.704).
In their final week of classes, a group of Albertville high schoolers scoured a supply closet, looking for teaching tools they could use in future classrooms.
Dr. Vohn Enloe was officially announced as the new Athletic Director of Albertville High School on Tuesday evening at Albertville City School board meeting.
